Chalet Cottage
The neighbours are a restaurant to the north, a vineyard across the road, and a stream along the south line with its own belt of trees. Inside the gate none of that is apparent. The house faces west over Deep Cove, where the tide pulls back across a wide sand flat and returns twice a day. Shingle and granite outside; white oak, marble and a live-edge timber mantel within. Rooms stay at cottage scale and take the water one at a time, never all at once.
